tickets
Tickets for L’OsstidBurn are distributed by lottery, followed by a waitlist.
In order to purchase a ticket, you must register on the ticketing platform. Available tickets are distributed by lottery to those who have registered. Those not randomly selected are placed on a waitlist, the order of which is determined at random.
If you register on the platform after the date of the lottery, your name will be added to the waitlist, in order of registration.
warning!
- You must absolutely use your full legal name and birthdate, as indicated on your ID. (Please refer to the “Instructions” section if your name differs from your legal name.)
- Once you get a confirmation from the lottery to purchase a ticket, you must respect the 48-hour purchase deadline. After that time, the ticket will be transferred to someone else on the waitlist. We strongly suggest that you keep an eye on your email (including junk mail).
- Tickets are non-transferable, but can be refunded before the deadline.
- There will be no tickets for sale on site, and no entry without a ticket. To be admitted to the event, you must have your ticket, valid identification under the same name as your ticket and, if applicable, a parking pass for each vehicle.

Lottery and waiting list
Tickets for L’OsstidBurn are made available through a lottery open to everyone who registers on the ticketing platform before the deadline.
If you are selected in the lottery, you will receive a notification email. You will be eligible to purchase one (1) ticket and one (1) parking pass.
Once the email has been sent, you have 48 hours to purchase your ticket. Check your junk mail. If you don’t buy your ticket within the time limit, it will be returned to the waitlist.
If the system does not draw your name in the lottery, you will be placed on the waitlist in random order. If you registered on the platform after the lottery, you will be placed on the waitlist in the order in which you were registered.
As a result of refund requests, tickets will continue to become available on the platform after the date of the lottery. Log in at any time to see your status in the queue.
price
Tickets have no set price! You choose the price you pay, according to your financial capacity and the value you consider your ticket to be worth.
the average price for a ticket is $100
Our hope is that some participants will offer more than the average price to compensate for the reality that others can’t afford the average ticket price. Consider it a matter of equity! Please note that the amount you agree to pay for your ticket has no impact on your chances of getting one in the lottery.
L’OsstidBurn’s mission is to promote art and participatory action. Over the past two editions, the organization has distributed between 27% and 38% of its annual budget in the form of grants to participants. The majority of the event’s revenue is generated through the sale of parking passes and tickets, as well as donations. Projected operational expenses (land, insurance, logistics, security, etc.) for 2024 are close to $35,000. Any remaining funds will be returned directly to the event in the form of grants. If all participants pay an average of $100 for their ticket, half of all ticket sales this year can be used to distribute grants to the community. Please note that the event is 100% run by volunteers. No one receives any form of remuneration or compensation for their time!
refunds
If you are unable to attend the event, log in to the registration platform and click on the “Remboursez-moi / Refund me” button. Your ticket will be made available to the first person on the waiting list. If you do not request a refund, the ticket will remain registered in your name and will be valid only for you. The transfer and resale of tickets is prohibited. Refunds will end on June 11th at 11:59 p.m.
varia
- Your ticket is required to be issued in the name that appears on your ID card.
- If your common name differs from your legal name, inform the greeters about how to address you accurately (for example, you can put a sticky note on your ID with your name).
- It is prohibited to use the same email address for multiple registrations, to register the same person more than once, or to exchange or transfer a ticket.
directed group sale (DGS)
DGS (“Directed Group Sales”) tickets are restricted for specific projects.
They are allocated to OsstidBurners who bring theme camps, art installations or other projects to the event. In order to come to life, these projects require a team, time and planning. DGS tickets ensure that project coordinators have enough people to make it happen.
You can request DGS tickets when you register your theme camp, art project or Adopt-A-Road project.
how to ask for my dgs ticket?
You can ask for DGS tickets when making your pARTicipation applications.
The application form must be filled in by the project leader only, and must indicate the number of tickets requested. It happens that not all requests can be accommodated, so we strongly encourage all camp or project participants to register for the lottery before the deadline in order to increase their chance of getting a ticket.
DGS tickets will be allocated between April 18th and 20th, after the evaluation committees have reviewed the applications.
Every participant involved in a camp or art project must register individually on the ticketing platform in order to use the purchase code that will be provided to them.
Purchase codes are only valid until April 24th; unused codes will be offered to the people in the waiting list..
Please note that you must fill out a registration form for each project brought to L’OsstidBurn (camp, art projects, Adopt-A-Road), whether you request DGS tickets or not.
Special cases
making a group for the lottery
It is possible to create group requests. This option is designed for groups of 2 to 10 people (families, groups of friends, etc.) who wish to participate in the lottery together, to avoid one person getting a ticket, but not the others. Being in a group ties you into the lottery system together, but does not increase (or reduce) your chances.
How to sign up for group sales :
- Each group member must register individually on the platform.
- Next, you need to create a group. To do this, the group lead must click on the “Create a group” option and give it a name.
- Each group member must then click on the “Join a group” option on the portal.
- Finally, the group manager must approve each request on the portal.
After the lottery, group options are deactivated. All participants who register on the waiting list are automatically placed at the bottom of the list individually, in order of registration.
-18 participants (Children and teens)
All minors must have a ticket and be accompanied by a responsible adult (parent or legal guardian) at the gate. At the time of registration, a waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Minors are not counted in the lottery and automatically receive a ticket once their parent or guardian has purchased theirs.
For youths aged 12 to 17 (born between June 21, 2006 and June 20, 2012), tickets are at an additional cost (suggested price: $50). Purchase offers are sent to the e-mail address associated with their account. If no purchase offer has been received within one week of the ticket purchase by the parent or guardian, please write to [email protected].
For children aged 11 and under (born between June 21, 2012 and June 20, 2024), a free ticket is automatically available on the platform. No offer to purchase is sent. Please note that the ticket is mandatory, even if it’s free!
All participants, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the event. An account must be created on the ticketing platform for each child and teenager under 18, with an e-mail address different from the parent’s. (Tip: With most email providers, it is not necessary to create a new email address! (Check out this article). Example : [email protected])
