Tickets for L’OsstidBurn will be released through a random lottery. Since the event is usually sold out, a waiting list will be used to handle ticket turnover. Tickets are not transferable between participants, but can be refunded to the purchaser and then offered to those on the waitlist. After the lottery, participants can still register for tickets and will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist. No tickets will be sold on-site.
In order to purchase a ticket for L’OsstidBurn, you must sign-up for the registration platform. Each and every participant must enter a single email address and create a password. Click “Submit Registration” to be added to the lottery or the waiting list.
WARNING: Make sure you use the name and date of birth from your ID while signing up on the platform.
APRIL 13th 2022 - 11:59 AM
deadline to enter the lottery for regular ticketing.
Everyone who registers after this date will be automatically added to the waitlist, by order of arrival.
This year, there will be no fixed price for tickets. You get to choose the price based on your financial capacity and how much you think the ticket is worth.
We hope that some burners will be able to offer more to compensate for those who cannot afford the average ticket price. The price you pay for a ticket has no bearing on your chance of getting a ticket.
The mission of L’OsstidBurn is to promote art and participatory engagement. In recent years, the organization has allocated between 20% and 27% of its annual budgets in grants to participants. Most of the event’s revenue comes from ticket sales, vehicle passes and donations. Operational expenses (field, insurance, logistics, security, etc.) for 2022 are estimated at $35,000. Any surplus will be directly allocated to art grants. If the average participant contributes $100 towards the purchase of their ticket, we will be able to give 30% of the grants to the community this year. The event is 100% volunteer run, and no one is paid for their time. You can consult our financial report from last years.
If you decide not to attend the event, log in to the registration platform and click on the “Refund me” button. Your ticket will be reassigned to the person at the top of the wait list. If you do not request a refund, the ticket will remain associated with your name and date of birth and will be valid only for you. There is no transfer or resale of tickets. Refunds will be possible until June 12th at 11:59 PM
Directed Groups Sale (DGS) tickets are saved for burners who are bringing (i) theme camps, (ii) art projects (iii) other projects to the festival. In fact, these projects require time, planning and a dedicated team to bring to life. DGS tickets help ensure that project leaders have enough people to make their projects happen.
You can get access to DGS tickets by making a DGS application through the form below.
You can apply as either a member of an art project, a theme camp or an Adopt-a-Road project through one of the two strategies listed below.
