HOW DOES IT WORK?

Tickets for L’OsstidBurn will be released through a random lottery. Since the event is usually sold out, a waiting list will be used to handle ticket turnover. Tickets are not transferable between participants, but can be refunded to the purchaser and then offered to those on the waitlist. After the lottery, participants can still register for tickets and will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist. No tickets will be sold on-site.

In order to purchase a ticket for L’OsstidBurn, you must sign-up for the registration platform. Each and every participant must enter a single email address and create a password. Click “Submit Registration” to be added to the lottery or the waiting list.

WARNING: Make sure you use the name and date of birth from your ID while signing up on the platform.

APRIL 13th 2022 - 11:59 AM

deadline to enter the lottery for regular ticketing.

Everyone who registers after this date will be automatically added to the waitlist, by order of arrival.

  • You will have 48-hours to purchase your ticket. Check your junk mail.
  • If you do not purchase your ticket within this time, it will be put back on the waiting list. You will be able to re-register for the wait list at any time.
  • If you are not selected in the lottery, don’t worry! Tickets will continue to circulate on the platform as a result of refunds.
  • At any time during the lottery, you will be able to log into your account to see where you are positioned on the waitlist.
  • If you encounter any issue, please email us at [email protected]
WHAT NOT TO DO
  • Use the same email address for multiple registrations.
  • Register the same person multiple times.
  • Offer or transfer a ticket. If you decide not to attend the event, it is not possible to offer or transfer your ticket. If you have not yet paid for your ticket, do this by logging in and clicking the ‘I don’t want a ticket’ button. If you have paid, click on the ‘Ticketing Sales’ link at the top of the page and click the refund button.
PRICE

This year, there will be no fixed price for tickets. You get to choose the price based on your financial capacity and how much you think the ticket is worth.

We hope that some burners will be able to offer more to compensate for those who cannot afford the average ticket price. The price you pay for a ticket has no bearing on your chance of getting a ticket.

The average price for a ticket is $100.

The mission of L’OsstidBurn is to promote art and participatory engagement. In recent years, the organization has allocated between 20% and 27% of its annual budgets in grants to participants. Most of the event’s revenue comes from ticket sales, vehicle passes and donations. Operational expenses (field, insurance, logistics, security, etc.) for 2022 are estimated at $35,000. Any surplus will be directly allocated to art grants. If the average participant contributes $100 towards the purchase of their ticket, we will be able to give 30% of the grants to the community this year. The event is 100% volunteer run, and no one is paid for their time. You can consult our financial report from last years.

GETTING A REFUND

If you decide not to attend the event, log in to the registration platform and click on the “Refund me” button. Your ticket will be reassigned to the person at the top of the wait list. If you do not request a refund, the ticket will remain associated with your name and date of birth and will be valid only for you. There is no transfer or resale of tickets. Refunds will be possible until June 12th at 11:59 PM

DIRECTED GROUP SALE - DGS

Directed Groups Sale (DGS) tickets are saved for burners who are bringing (i) theme camps, (ii) art projects (iii) other projects to the festival. In fact, these projects require time, planning and a dedicated team to bring to life. DGS tickets help ensure that project leaders have enough people to make their projects happen.

HOW TO APPLY FOR DGS TICKETS?

You can get access to DGS tickets by making a DGS application through the form below.

MAJOR DEADLINES

SPECIFIC CASES
GROUPS REGISTRATION

New-in: it is now possible to create group applications when registering for the lottery. This option is intended for any group of 2 to 10 people who wish to participate together to avoid having one person receive a ticket offer and the others not. (e.g. family, group of friends) Being in a group connects you together within the ticketing system.

Group members must register individually on the platform. Once registered, you must form a group. click the “Manage Groups” button. One person will be the “manager” of the group and will use the Create Group option. Then, the group members must individually join using the “Join a group” button and the manager will approve them.

All children must have a ticket and must be accompanied by an adult at the entrance to the event.

For children 12 to 17 years old (born between 2010/06/21 – 2004/06/22), tickets are subject to a fee (suggested price: $50.00) and will be available on the ticketing platform.

For children 11 years old and under (born between 2010/06/20 – 2022/06/21), a free automatic ticket will be available on the platform. A waiver must be signed by the child’s legal guardian.

An account will have to be created on the ticketing platform for all children, with a different email address than the one of the applicant (tip: with most providers, there is no need to create a dedicated email address! ex: https://bgr.com/tech/gmail-tips-email-address-filter-avoid-spam/) or only add a + in your email like [email protected]
